Key Pad Capabilities

Using Densitron's patent pending Versapanel TM  approach, this application demonstrates the ability to replace buttons, switches and potentiometers in an instrument application with a glass surface 7 Mohs hardness ITO PCT (projected capacitive touch) sensor and TFT display. The single I2C 4 wire interface is the only panel connection required (excluding the TFT). For example, our new patent pending 4.3" Versapanel TM   Sensor proprietary to Densitron is specifically designed for smaller displays such as this 3" LMR5413 Ultra bright Negative Mode display.This application matches high traffic static touch functions such as the column on the left and the row on the bottom using the Versapanel "Through Glass" Feature with soft menu touch functions on this cost effective 3" Diagonal Monochrome display.

Polydome embossed or metal dome integrated underneath the surface layer gives additional tactile feedback to the user. By means of silk screening graphics, logos and multi color images can be created. Flat flex tail offers easy integration onto the host PCB.  Dome Siwtch 1 Example
Silicon rubber can be injection molded into any custom shape to create both large and small keymat areas with any number of keys creating easy to fit, cost effective input. High durability and additional tactile feel can be created by a range of hard top coats. Artwork, numbers, letters, etc can be silk screened in one or more colors directly onto the keypad. By altering the shape and design of the key mat various tactile feels can be achieved. Conductive carbon pills are attached to the key pads to complete an electrical circuit once the key pad is fitted to the PCB.  Econ 1
Discrete individual keys: Any manufacturers switch choice, can be fitted onto Densitron LCD modules offering a reduction in cost over a separate switch PCB assembly. Tactile switches are available in 5mm, 9mm, 12mm and various other sizes and shapes. Key ready PCB.
