ITO metal frame PCT technology employed in our New DTS413 series sensors offer significant benefits to traditional users of resistive and surface capacitive technologies who wanted Projective Capacitive (PCT) technology in a 5.7" or smaller format. Unlike the other touch technologies, the active Projective Capacitive Sensor component is behind the glass front cover lens for protection, providing a true durable 7 Mohs hardness glass front construction. It also offers unrivalled protection against a wide range of physical, mechanical and chemical abuse, providing an effective solution for demanding applications like hand held instrumentation, medical and electronic instruments operating in harsh environments or high usage as well as premium consumer applications.

Film to Glass Technology where thicker and more stable backers are required two flexible polyester films are used to create the touch sensor, which are then bonded to either glass, polycarbonate or acrylic depending on application. These other materials are suitable for environments where glass can be a problem, such as the food industry or for use in vandal-proof products.

Surface Acoustic Wave Touch Screens  from Densitron offer the perfect solution for the most demanding applications  By using inaudible acoustic waves on a glass plate. When an operator touches the screen, a portion of the energy is absorbed. The reduced energy is detected by the X and Y sensors and the X and Y coordinate location is registered. Optimized for an accurate, sensitive and quick touch performance when coupled with a Densitron SAW Touch Screens controller as well as our user friendly utilities.

Surface Capacitive Touch Screens: a layer that can store an electrical charge is created on the glass panel. When a user touches the monitor with his or her ungloved finger, a portion of the charge is transferred to the grounded user reducing the charge on the capacitive layer. The controller calculates, from the differences in charge at each corner and determines where the touch occurred.

Wire Technology PCT Projected Capacitive Touch Screens: The manufacturing technology employed for this generation is unique and offers significant benefits to traditional users of resistive, capacitive and SAW technologies. Unlike the other touch technologies, the active component is embedded for protection, providing a true safety laminated pure glass fronted construction that can sense through vandal resistant glass up to 17mm thick!

This technology offers unrivalled protection against a wide range of physical, mechanical and chemical abuse, providing the cost effective solution for the most demanding of applications such as POS, Industrial and instruments in harsh environments.
