London, Tuesday 5 May 2009: Adding to its popular range of OLED modules, Densitron Europe is pleased to announce the introduction of a new standard industrial 1 DIN size Passive Matrix OLED (PMOLED) display.
The new 5.5" display (DD-25664GE-1A) is the largest commercially available PMOLED module on the market today and comes with all the renowned benefits associated with OLED displays, including being energy efficient and offering an almost 180° viewing angle. The module has a resolution of 256 by 64 with a 16 gray scale, which allows the use of monographic picture menus, and a display contrast ratio of 2000:1 compared to 100:1.
The new PMOLED measures 146 mm 45 mm x 2 mm in mechanical size and has an active area of 135.65 mm x 33.89 mm. It comes with a standard ZIF connector and supports various interfaces, such as 8 bit Intel or Motorola and 3 or 4 wire SPI. The size and resolution of the module make it ideal for a wide variety of applications, ranging from instrumentation and industrial equipment in general to DAB radio and Point-of-Sale systems.
The new display is available in green as a standard colour and Densitron is pleased to offer customisation service to meet individual colour requirements.
