The image above is our 5.7" TFT with our Projected Capacitive Glass Touch Screen. The bottom half of the screen is optically bonded with our SolisBondTM process. The reduced glare from the directed light source on the right edge of the display is evident.

Optical Bonding for Sunlight Readable and Ruggedized Displays and Touch Screens!
Applications requiring sunlight readability and or durability look to our new SolisBondTM optical bonding process. Total reflections can be reduced from 13.5% (typical for a non-treated design) to less than 0.2%* with a proper SolisBondTM system that includes AR coated lens and our index matching process.
This unique "re-workable" optical bonding process reduces material loss throughout the supply chain, greatly enhancing yield and reducing the overall cost to you. Suitable for harsh environments with temp storage spec (-40C to 85C). SolisBondTM produces an optical bond that does not delaminate, discolor, crystallize, bubble or harden with age. The bonded result meets ASTM-154 (UVA resistance spec)
Optical Benefits - Sunlight Readability
- Reduced reflectance (typically 13.5% reduced to <.2% *)
- Increased contrast ratio in high ambient light environment (typical 2:1 improves to 68:1 **)
- Eliminate "wash-out" effect
- Improve Clarity and reduce "sparkles"
- Improve backlight brightness transmittance
- Reduces parallax error

Mechanical Benefits - Vandal Resistance and Durability
- Improved impact absorption (includes shock protection)
- Provide better adhesion between display and touch screen
- Prevents water condensation between cover lens (or touch screen) and display
- Eliminates the "greenhouse effect".
- Eliminates "pooling"
- Allows for "over-frame" bezel designs.

* Assumes a properly coated AR front cover lens.
** Contrast ratio may very depending on material property of each layer.
