Touch technology a key feature on stand 223, Hall B6

Densitron is present on its partner Evo-Teh’s stand 223 Hall B6 in the Slovenian arena at Electronica 2016, Munich, Germany next week. Highlighting the company’s technical expertise and flexible approach to providing end users with a total solution based on their requirements, visitors will have the chance to see some of the very latest display and embedded board technologies, and discuss how these can be customised in a variety of ways to fulfil their application needs.

Unique high quality touch TFT’s

Unique to Densitron are two new TFT’s from the company’s extensive range. The 5.0” and 4.3” IPS TFT’s utilise very high quality glass and are available with no minimum order requirements. Ideal for a variety of end applications including handheld, audio-video, test & measurement and medical, there will be on-stand demonstrations taking place to enable visitors to see first-hand just what can be achieved with these small, high quality products.

With their wide viewing angles, and offering high brightness and contrast, the TFT’s are available with both MPU and RGB interfaces which make them very easy to drive. Easily customisable with both capacitive and resistive touch options, they are the ideal solution for many of today’s industrial touch screen needs.

Touch OLED’s

The company’s exclusive 3.12” Touch OLEDs which are available in blue, white, green and yellow, are also on show. These industrial grade displays have an extremely high contrast ratio of 10,000:1 and are used in applications requiring a 1U rack, for example in the audio-video sector.  With their letterbox style display which can accommodate a large amount of graphic and text information, many of the products in the range also offer a dramatic improvement on lifetime of up to 100,000 hours. The Touch OLEDS are also available with optical bonding should that be an end user requirement.

As well as Touch OLEDs, Densitron’s recently introduced circular OLEDs will also be available for visitors to see.

Next generation E-paper solutions

The very latest E-paper range, ideal for low power applications and specially tailored to the industrial market is also on the stand. This brand new, user-friendly family of products offers an internal timing controller, enabling faster time to market and straightforward implementation. These 4.2” and 2.15” displays are more affordable as there is no longer a requirement for an external controller, and also offer users considerable space savings.

Alongside the displays, Densitron has added a 2nd generation extension kit to the family which enables users to interface with their chosen display very quickly and simply with a Texas Instruments LaunchPad compatible socket, making it the ideal tool for cost-effective prototyping, and therefore facilitating a speedy time to market.  In addition, a plug and play developer kit is also on show, where displays and extension kit are combined together with a Texas Instruments EK-TM4C123GXL processor. Densitron also supplies open source driving code and a free powerful Windows application for test and demonstration. The developer kit highlights all of the capabilities of the user’s chosen display with its superior performance levels.

Highly versatile TFT monitors

Also on the stand will be one of the company’s advanced TFT display solutions with a bar/cut monitor. Densitron’s TFT monitor product range incorporates the most advanced display and touch screen technology available on the market. Standard, bar/cut and high brightness monitors are available specifically designed to meet the needs of the global industrial marketplace. They are available with integrated, Densitron designed long lasting AD boards and LED backlight drivers and can be fully customised to meet the end user requirements.

Finally, Densitron will also feature HDMI/USB TFTs with its RipDraw® product range. The 1U RipDraw® TFT module is designed to fit perfectly within any 1U chassis development, and offers a host of options, such as PCT Sensor, cover lenses, mechanical mounting and interface configurations. The MVA glass offers a uniform viewing angle from every direction, giving a very rich user experience. The novel TFT carrier insures mechanical mounting requirements are interchangeable in the future regardless of what glass or touch screens are used.

A 10.1” HDMI/USB touch version will also be exhibited, powered by an embedded board running Android.

Marc Corrigan, Business Development Director for Densitron in Germany comments, “Having a presence at Electronica 2016 on our partner Evo-Teh’s stand will enable us to show some of the exciting new products we have recently launched.
