Densitron and Skyline DataMiner: Unified control for complex operational environments

As operational environments become more complex, multi-vendor and increasingly IP-based, the need for unified, intuitive control is growing fast. That’s why Densitron is working closely with Skyline Communications and its DataMiner platform to deliver a seamless integration designed for mission-critical operations.

This collaboration supports Densitron’s strategy of software-defined control, with Densitron providing a single control and integration layer across hardware, software, data sources and operator workflows.

By combining Densitron IDS with professional control hardware, specifically the 2RU range with buttons and Skyline’s DataMiner orchestration platform, organisations can visualise, control and orchestrate multi-vendor systems through one consistent operator experience.

DataMiner is widely recognised as a leading multi-vendor monitoring, control and orchestration platform, offering deep visibility across complex operational chains through its open architecture and extensive APIs. Integrated with IDS, this orchestration capability is extended directly to the operator layer, delivering a unified and intuitive interface across control rooms and distributed environments.

The integration has been brought to life on Densitron’s 2RU control panel, part of the RU family of rack-mounted panels built for 24/7 environments. Featuring high-brightness industrial touch displays, embedded compute and tactile controls, the RU range delivers fast, precise interaction where reliability is critical. The same Densitron driven interface can also be deployed across the wider RU range and the ProDeck desktop control surface, ensuring consistent workflows regardless of hardware format.

Together, Densitron and DataMiner enable operators to manage complex systems through a single cohesive interface, while giving organisations the flexibility to tailor physical control surfaces to specific operational roles.

This combined solution supports a broad range of industries including broadcast and media, Pro AV and live production, telecom and service providers, industrial automation and critical infrastructure, anywhere operators must manage distributed, IP-based systems efficiently and reliably.

The Densitron integration with DataMiner’s Low-Code App framwork has already been successfully deployed within native Windows-based applications, providing a low-friction interface layer that can be rapidly introduced into existing environments.

DataMiner is built to unify and orchestrate complex ecosystems. The integration with Densitron and its professional hardware panels extends that orchestration directly to the operator level, delivering a highly intuitive interface that enhances efficiency and reduces operational friction.

Reuben Such, Global Business Development Director at Densitron, commented:
“Operational teams are being asked to manage increasingly complex infrastructures across multiple vendors and technologies. By combining DataMiner’s orchestration strength with our Densitron platform and RU hardware range, we provide operators with a single, intuitive control layer purpose-built for mission-critical environments.”

Thomas Gunkel, Market Director at Skyline Communications, added:
“DataMiner is built to unify and orchestrate complex ecosystems. The integration with Densitron and its professional hardware panels extends that orchestration directly to the operator level, delivering a highly intuitive interface that enhances efficiency and reduces operational friction.”

Densitron and Skyline Communications will be collaborating at NAB, demonstrating the combined IDS and DataMiner solution live on the Skyline booth.
